Escaped

SCOPE:
The main idea of this project was to successfully complete a 5 min max short film consisting of 3 key items. The 3 items consisted of any type of water-bottle, a hat of any sort, and also a phrase consisting of the words "lights out". All around this project flowed very well and i personally enjoyed it so much. The process of this project for my group turned out with the final product finishing very well.

PROCESS

Pre-production:

Our groups were selected by our teacher and each group was designated a director, luckily i got the director role. The directors were then give the free will to choose their own groups and team to work with. I chose a group consisting of 3 very smart and bright girls, they all put very good work into the film. We all began the film with brainstorming and came up with an idea, unfortunately that idea was too complex for a 5 min short film and wouldn't make much sense. so we continued to brainstorm now behind on time, we came up with a great idea which is now put to screen. We slowly priced together our well thought out script and storyboard full of intense dialogue and camera angles.

Production:

After all pep reduction was completed we went out on the field to get some work done. Ernie Miller nature center was our first choice for a good looking forest and ended up being our final location to film on. we Filmed for an entire day and got a lot completed, some struggles and problems did occur but we worked well through it and finished the film day with some good footage. After that we came back to our editing stations

Post production:

Editing became a very big problem and we had a lot to fix and master. I ended up having to use 3 different SD cards to transfer video clips. Working very hard on editing i came out with this finished product and i was very happy with it, some audio errors were on my nerves due to audio not working while filming and consisting of many voice overs. Overall this was the best team i have worked with all year.

WHAT I LEARNED

Technically:

I learned a lot of very valuable information about angles and audio this year that i think i did very well on. I also learned how to use the new cameras and voice over equipment, next goal lighting.

Professionally:

Honestly i think i pulled off being a director very well. I feel like I'm very capable of the task and i react well in stressful situations and editing with not very good audio. Leadership is for sure one of my strong suits cause i am a decent speaker and know when do bbs serious also when to joke. Next year i plan on being involved with many other short films and creating just fun and entertaining film for people to just enjoy.

COMMENTARY

This short film was the best thing i ever done besides my previous work with ally harper on the video Trapped. something i could've done better on this video was working with audio and casting better actors. No i am not self centered and wanted to make myself the leader on purpose , we really had no choice and all our great actors from trapped bailed on us for other groups. No hatred on them they are fannaminal actors Lucas Scott, and Grace Horvat. I was very happy with my final product and wouldn't be happier. Also couldn't ask for a better teacher gonna miss you mrs Meyer.

Supplement

i learned so much about package design during this project and how to make a carton design. the hardest thing about this project was figuring a design i could use to respesent the look and design of what need to stand out on the box. i went with green cause it has a medicine kind of feel and i put red to represent the lungs for like health wise. i enjoyed this project a ton because it tapped into my imagination. My product is quick repair, this supplement is designed for smokers who have destroyed their lungs over time by smoking so i created this to help speed up the process of the lungs alloys being repaired and can cut down the process of healing by half the time of normal healing. I enjoyed making the color scheme and the design of the box and making it look very complex but simple at the same time.
